Please note the following changes made to the 8 on 8 and 5 on 5 rulebooks (http://www.utahflagleague.com/rules):
-Penalty: Not Going for Flags/Pushing a player out of bounds (not constituting an unnecessary roughness call) 2 1/2 yards from end of play in 5 Man and 5 yards from end of play in 8 Man.
-Onside kick is no longer worth two points for the offensive team (it is still worth two points to the defense on an interception return for a score). If the offense converts the onside kick, they will maintain the ball but no points are awarded. You may also only go for an onside kick if your team is losing and it is 5 minutes or less in the game.
-Jumping will now only be penalized if the ball carrier jumps into and makes contact with a defending player.

The following aren't changes but the referees have been instructed to enforce:
-Teams need to be wearing matching color shirts/jerseys. Must have a uniform look. Similar shade of the same color may be permitted but no red shirts on a team with black shirts, white shirts on a team of gray shirts, etc...
-Shirts/jerseys need to be tucked in. If they become untucked during a play, then tuck it in between plays. Shirts may not cover the flag belts. If shirts/jerseys cover the flag belt a referee may deem that player a touch to be downed, instead of flags pulled.

Make sure your team members know. Not knowing of the rules changes or of any rules is not a defense. You will still be penalized.
